After years of living in Colchester but working in London I wanted to meet
new people and make new friends close to home. On joining Ladies Circle I
quickly asked myself "why didn't I do this before?". This is a great group of
ladies who are very welcoming. The social events are always a lot of fun
and we get to work together to support some very deserving charities too.
I grew up abroad and left my friends behind! Ladies Circle was an easy
way to make new ones. We all get on marvellously and have a really good
laugh together. Fundraising is something I have always wanted to do but
never got round to it. With Circle I am helping others and I must admit it
feels good x
When I saw how much fun my Husband was having with roundtable I
wanted to join a group where women could have just as much fun.
It’s been great to meet new people and make friends very quickly . I was
also interested in supporting local charities that may otherwise not always
get the support they need.

I joined Circle to meet some new people in Colchester and since joining
I’ve made a great new circle of friends and enjoyed a variety of social
events as well as the opportunity to get involved with the local
community and offer my help where it is needed the most.

Having explored various avenues for making new friends I stumbled across
Circle by accident. It took some courage to join a group of unknown
women but I really didn’t need to worry, they were a fantastic welcoming
bunch. I have made some really great friends and there is always something
going to keep us occupied. They really are about fun, friendship and
fundraising.

Liking beer and football many of my friends are of the male variety! but as
lovely as they are...nothing beats a girly night out once in a while! In the last
few years most of my female friends settled down having children or no
longer live in Colchester and it has become harder to meet up. After finding
the CLC on the internet I arranged to turn up at a meeting , I was a bit
anxious as its always hard trying to fit into a group of people who already
know each other. I need not have worried as they are such a welcoming fun
bunch! Some people have pre-conceived ideas about 'social clubs' but its all
lies I tell you ;) We are 'normal' (whatever that means) ladies who turn
charity work and helping others into fun. Its great!
I joined Ladies Circle because it is a great way to meet new
people, have fun and raise money for charity which I feel
strongly about. I think lots of people think it is like Women's
Institute but it isn't at all. It isn't old ladies doing flower
arranging but 18-45 year old women having fun and making
lasting friendships.
I moved to Colchester from London and wanted to meet a group of people
that were interested in raising money for charity but also wanted to
socialise. I fortunately came across the Colchester Ladies Circle website and
the group looked perfect. I first attended a business meeting and met a
group of like-minded people who were all really nice and welcoming. I would
definitely recommend Colchester Ladies Circle to anyone that wants to be
involved with a group of people that want to raise money for charity but also
have a good laugh in the process
I moved to Colchester recently from London and saw Ladies Circle as the
ideal way to make friends and integrate into the community quickly.
Thankfully its done just that. I've met some wonderful people, had some
really good times & together we are helping some really worthy community
charities too...I really look forward to Circle Events and plan to be here for a
very long time!
Having relocated several times in my life, I know that establishing
friendships and becoming part of a community isn’t always easy.
Finding the Ladies Circle has been such a gift. I’ve found a group of
diverse individuals who are so easy to be around. Whether it’s a night
and a good laugh or a meeting to organise charity work, I always enjoy
time spent with these women. I’m building friendships as well as
supporting community efforts, both of which mean a lot to me.
When I heard of Circle I thought it was an ideal way to make new friends
and help some local charities. It was the case! We have a lot of fun with a
variety of social events and above all we get to support some great
causes.
I have to admit that I stumbled on circle by accident, and it's the best
mistake I've ever made! It's been great to meet some wonderful people,
have a laugh, and still raise money for some fantastic causes. It's a cliché
to say we all get on but in our case it's definitely true! Whether its baby
showers and bowling or organising a formal charity do we always manage
to have a great time!
